Hello, Courage

Courage.
That's my word for 2011. That's what the next 12 months will be about.
Courage to change.
Courage to speak up.
Courage to tell the truth.
Courage to try new things.
Courage to follow through.
Courage to be wrong, broken and vulnerable.
Courage to be foolish.
Courage to be misunderstood.
Courage to follow my bliss.
Courage to say no.
Courage to say yes.
Courage to start this.

Christina, you probably already heard this, but I like, Courage is fear that said its prayers.

Hi Christina,

I like your blog post about courage. I've written two books on the subject, and I've come to believe that courage is central to the religious experience. In Pope John Paul's very first sermon, the first two words out of his mouth were "Fear not!". He was, of course, quoting Christ, who uses the phrase over and over in the New Testament. To me, it's the same as saying, "Be Courageous!"
